A: I've been honing my photography skills for a decade, but my experience in photo editing spans over 20 years. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Visual Communication from UofA. Prior to my photography journey, I worked extensively as a graphic designer for a publishing company. It was after becoming a parent that I discovered my passion for photography, and I've been capturing moments ever since.

A: I would love to help you dress your family. I know this causes so much stress for families and I am here to help. I will set up a time when we can chat and go over ideas. I am happy to assist you as much as you like and can even help with a vision board.  You are also welcome to  my client closet as well!

While I've enjoyed shooting boudoir sessions and Weddings in the past, I prefer to focus on areas where I can provide my absolute best. Offering sessions where I can give 100% ensures a top-notch experience for my clients. Unfortunately, boudoir and weddings isn't something I do frequently enough to feel completely confident in. I want to avoid any potential hiccups in posing and guarantee a premium experience for everyone involved. This is why, for now, I've chosen not to offer boudoir sessions.

A: As for the where, I will send you a location guide with places to select from depending on your favorite look. The when really depends somewhat on what type of session that you want. Many of my favorite sessions are guided by nature. I photograph a lot of families in the spring and summer blooms, and fall families depending on the change of the leaves on the trees. I have no control over mother nature, therefore I am at her mercy when it comes to scheduling. If you book a session that is dependent on the blooms, I will make sure from the start that you know the plan for when (typically within a limited time frame of blooming time). Time of the day, on the other hand, is an easy call. 90% of my sessions are booked within 1-2 hours of sunrise or sunset. I do have specific places that work for other times of the day, but for a general rule you can count on a golden hours session.

I've got an extensive set of equipment, particularly when it comes to studio lighting. While the list is long, my camera setup is fairly straightforward. I shoot with a Canon R6 mirrorless body. When it comes to lenses, my go-to choices for outdoor sessions are my trusty 85mm and 200mm primes. Occasionally, I'll bring out my versatile 28-70mm, especially for urban settings—it's become a favorite for senior sessions. But truth be told, it sees most of its action in the studio.

A: Certainly! You have full rights to print the images you purchase as many times as you'd like for your personal use. However, I highly recommend considering purchasing through me for the best in quality and long-term value. I work with top-notch photo labs in the industry, and the difference in print and product quality is remarkable. I'd be more than happy to show you! While it's entirely optional, I believe that if you've taken the time and care to book me (which speaks volumes about your appreciation for your photos), you'll find immense satisfaction in having your custom art presented in high-quality albums and prints.

A: For the digital packages, yes I do! My session fee of $200 is a non-refundable retainer which gets you a spot in my calendar (once you have that place I either must refuse or reschedule other inquiries, so that must be paid in full for your session to take place). However, I am happy to accept payment plans of any digital packages you order. The purchased images will be delivered once final payment is made.

If for any reason we need to reschedule (weather, illness, family emergency etc) I will work with you to find a new date for your session as close to the original date as possible. The rescheduled session must be rescheduled within 3 months of the original session, or an additional retainer fee will be required to re-book your session.
